At Visioner Program, we are committed to providing comprehensive support and resources to help students

Get Started

  • When does the application period open?
    There is a single cohort each year. For the 2025 cohort, applications open on March 10 and close on May 4. We encourage students to apply as early as possible to secure their spot and ensure they have enough time to prepare for the program.
  • Does it count as volunteer hours?
    Yes, the Visioner Program is recognized as a volunteer program eligible for graduation, allowing students to complete their hours while gaining experience in business and social responsibility.
  • Who and how can participate?
    High school students in the IB program or in grades 10 and 11 interested in business, investment, and social responsibility. Participation is through workshops, collaborative projects, and virtual mentoring.
  • Can I join if I’m not from Peru or Canada?
    Yes! While the program primarily focuses on connecting students from Peru and Canada, we welcome students from other countries who share our vision of leadership and global collaboration. Our online format allows for international participation.
  • How can I benefit from this volunteering as a student
    Te ayuda a desarrollar habilidades en negocios, liderazgo y trabajo en equipo, obtener experiencia real en proyectos, hacer networking con profesionales y conseguir referencias valiosas para universidades y becas.
  • Do I need prior leadership experience to join?
    No prior leadership experience is required. The Visioner Program is designed to help students develop leadership skills, whether they are just starting or already have some experience. We provide mentorship, guidance, and hands-on opportunities to help you grow into a confident leader.
  • What language is used?
    We operate in both English and Spanish, and students can use the language that makes them feel most comfortable. Our mentors and team members are bilingual, ensuring that language is never a barrier to participation or learning.
  • Will this help with college applications?
    Absolutely! Universities value students who take initiative, engage in leadership roles, and contribute to meaningful projects. Visioner provides real-world experience in international collaboration, volunteer work, and leadership training—making your application stand out. Many of our past participants have successfully used their experiences in Visioner to strengthen their college essays and interviews.
  • Do I need to submit documents to prove that I meet the requirements?
    No, you do not need to submit any official documents to prove your eligibility. The selection process is based on your application responses, where we assess your motivation, commitment, and interests.
  • What is the time commitment?
    The program lasts approximately five weeks. Meetings are usually scheduled on Tuesdays, but we offer flexibility and adjust meeting times based on the availability of students to accommodate different time zones and schedules. Expect to dedicate a few hours each week to meetings, project work, and discussions.
  • What kind of opportunities does Visioner Program provide?
    Volunteer positions Career orientation talks Mentorship and networking Scholarships and university application guidance Ambassador roles and leadership experience
  • Is there a final project or presentation?
    Yes, most Visioner Program cycles include a final project where students apply their skills and present their work. This could be a research initiative, a community impact project, or a creative solution to a global challenge. Presentations allow students to showcase their growth and receive feedback.
  • Is there a fee?
    No. There is absolutely no cost to participate in the Visioner Program. We believe in equal access to growth opportunities, so all resources, mentorship, and experiences are provided free of charge.
  • What is Visioner Program
    A volunteer program for high school students focused on business, investment, and social responsibility, with an emphasis on the relationship between Canada and Peru.
  • What if I have scheduling conflicts during the program?
    We understand that students have different commitments. While meetings are usually held on Tuesdays, we try to accommodate students' schedules as much as possible. If you miss a session, we provide summaries and recordings to ensure you stay up to date.
