ABOUT US

The Visioner program is an alternative to allow high school students to get involved and passionate about business development and investment between companies. Great opportunity for students in grades 10, 11, and IB to prepare for the future and boost socializing skills and awareness of international organizations and social issues Participating in the Peruvian-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (PCCC) through volunteering results in getting to know and working with like-minded people and having a better understanding of the issues the greater community is faced with.

Vision

Our Vision is to be recognized as a unique volunteering program, specially customized for high school students that have a passion for international business with a special focus on Canada and Peru relationships.

Our Mission

To provide high school students the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the fascinating world of marketing, business, and commerce. What's more, to strengthen their interest in the field while enriching the cultural exchange between Canada and Peru.

PROGRAM

The Position

What Will You Do?

Student Volunteer - Visioner High School Program.

Duration: Four months, up to 40 hours of volunteering

- Deadline to apply: March 26

- Start Activities: April 2, 2025

- End Activities: June 11, 2025

DEVELOPMENT AND ORGANIZATION

The Visioner Program ensures a balanced combination of theory and practice, providing students with a comprehensive experience in marketing and social responsibility, while fostering active participation and professional development.

Hours Distribution: Volunteers who complete all activities over 10 weeks will receive 40 hours. Those not advancing to the second stage will receive 20 hours, provided they have completed assigned activities and attended all classes.

Highlights and Ambassadors: Students with outstanding performance will be able to join the program's ambassador group and participate in additional activities.

Management Platform: Google Classroom

All classes and activities will be organized in the assigned Google Classroom.

The access code will be sent to the email provided in each student's resume

Business LAP (Learning Assistance Program)

This year the Visioner Program will consist of two Stages.

Stage 1 (five weeks) purpose is to create foundational knowledge in our participants to understand how to approach a business situation, uncover market opportunities and draft a one page marketing plan for future execution, and Sustainability, vs. Social Responsibility

Stage 2 (5 weeks) purpose is to put the knowledge gained into practice with implementation of marketing techniques, specifically for an opportunity in Advertisement (message communication) given the remote nature of the program.

Sustainability 101: Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders

Progress Requirements: To advance to this stage, students must complete assigned tasks, which will be evaluated using a scoring table. Only 50% of students can progress to this stage due to limited capacity.

BENEFITS

Recommendation Letter by the Peruvian-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (volunteer hours).

Certificate awarded for the complete successful volunteering hours within the Visioner High School Program.
